The State Oil and Gas Board of Alabama is the state regulatory agency in charge of the prevention of waste and conservation of oil and gas in the state. Furthermore, they are saddled additionally with the tasks of protecting the environment and protecting the rights of oil and gas owners as well.

The Board consists of three individuals appointed to the Board for six-year terms with the State Geologist serving as the State Oil and Gas Supervisor.
