The mission of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission is to foster the responsible development of Colorado’s oil and gas natural resources throughout:

(1)        The efficient exploration and production of oil and gas resources in a manner consistent with the protection of public health, safety and welfare.

(2)        The prevention of waste.

(3)        The protection of mineral owners correlative rights.

(4)        The prevention and mitigation of adverse environmental impacts.

The COGCC seeks to serve, solicit participation from, and maintain working relationships with all those having an interest in Colorado’s oil and gas natural resources.

Since 1984, the COGA has promoted the beneficial, efficient, responsible, and environmentally sound development, production and usage of Colorado’s oil and natural gas.

A trade organization, they strive to be a proactive, positive voice for the oil and gas industry in Colorado. To serve as a public outreach to all stakeholders regarding the positive impacts of the industry, and to be the provision of industry education and networking, while increasing grassroots industry participation in political and regulatory developments and community engagement.
