Created in 1849, the U.S. Department of the Interior is a cabinet-level agency that manages America’s vast natural and cultural resources.

They comprise nine technical bureaus:

  1.     Bureau of Indian Affairs
  2.     Bureau of Land Management
  3.     Bureau of Ocean Energy Management
  4.     Bureau of Reclamation
  5.     Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement
  6.     National Park Service
  7.     Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement
  8.     U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
  9.     U.S. Geological Survey
