NEW YORK

The Department of Environmental Conservation- Division of Mineral Resources is the state’s primary regulatory agency for oil and gas exploration and production. Their mission is to ensure the environmentally sound, economic development of New York’s non-renewable energy and mineral resources for the benefit of current and future generations. They accomplish this by regulating the extraction of oil and gas and governing the reclamation of the lands involved in  production.
